We loved our tour of Sintra with Joao! He was an excellent guide— extremely knowledgeable, patient, attentive and hilarious. Overall a wonderful tour: early pick up in a spacious, air-conditioned van equipped with WiFi; excellent guide; well-organized itinerary. Every moment well spent. We arrived very early at Pena Palace and beat the crowds. There was literally no line when we arrived! (By the time we were leaving, there was were long lines of tourists.) Thank you Portugal For a Day for getting us there so early. We had several other great experiences — a lovely visit to Quinta Regaleira, a peaceful lunch and stroll through Sintra’s historic town center. Another nice aspect of this tour was that admission tickets were provided to us in advance so this cut back on wait time. (Note that you still have to buy your own for Pena Palace itself, but we were provided with entrance to Pena’s park in advance.) Thanks again Joao!
