Payment Schedule

A deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be automatically collected 60 days prior to your booking with the information on file.

Cancellation Policy

In the unfortunate event you need to cancel your booking the procedure will follow these steps:

  • Email notice provided to AWE Adventures
    • 60 days or more notice: full refund less $50 admin fee per person.
    • 31-59 days notice: 50% refund (deposit not refunded).
    • 30 days or less: no refunds issued.
  • All refunds will be made in CAD and exchange rates will be issued by your credit card company
Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your tour or rental, please let us know as soon as possible. We understand life’s speed bumps are sometimes unseen and will do everything we can to accommodate your situation, but please understand that all rescheduling is on an availability basis. The sooner we know, the better chance there is of us getting your group on another trip. AWE Adventures will not be held responsible for travel delays incurred on your way to us. If we are unable to reschedule, the cancellation policy will apply.

Cancellation by AWE Adventures

Due to the dynamic waters in the Johnstone Strait and Broughton Archipelago, AWE Adventures reserves the right to cancel your guided kayaking tour, rental or resupply service at any time whatsoever, for any reason including but not limited to unsafe working conditions, weather, or insufficient bookings. If we are forced to cancel your booking for any extreme weather, unforeseen circumstances, insufficient bookings or other safety concerns, we will offer you the choice to reschedule your booking or receive a full refund of all payments made to AWE Adventures. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for any other costs incurred by you.

Travel and Medical Insurance

We highly recommend all of our guests purchase travel insurance for their trip that includes coverage for COVID-related cancellations, trip interruptions, medical expenses, evacuations in Canada and any loss due to AWE Adventures cancellation policy. The majority of insurance policies must be purchased within a small time window of booking your trip. AWE Adventures is not responsible for ensuring adequate coverage for your trip and cannot be held responsible for any other costs incurred by you.

Tip/Gratuity Policy

Tips are not included in your tour costs and are greatly appreciated by your guides. If you feel the guides and crew have done an exceptional job, tipping is the best way to show your appreciation. The industry standard for tipping is around 10% of your trip cost per person although any show of gratuity is appreciated.

Rental Guarantee

Paddle out in peace knowing each piece of equipment has been inspected and maintained before being booked, guaranteed. If any of our gear fails you due to past use, we will replace it for you while during the trip (weather dependent). If the gear failed due to your improper use, the cost of drop-off will be incurred by you at which time we will use our resupply service fees as the cost charged.
