Here’s What to Bring!
Essential Clothing
- Lightweight thermal long sleeve top for paddling
- Lightweight thermal long johns for paddling
- 1-2 Medium/heavy weight thermal long sleeve top for night
- 1-2 Medium/heavy weight thermal long johns or polar fleece pants for night
- Lightweight fleece for paddling
- Nylon quick drying shorts
- 1 or 2 lightweight quick drying t-shirts
- Warm polar fleece or down jacket
- Quality rain proof jacket with hood
- Quick drying pants (for walking and at camp)
- Footwear for paddling that can get wet (sandals, wet suit booties, Crocs)
- Dry footwear for camp (running shoes, crocs, or comfortable outdoor footwear)
- Baseball cap
- Sunglasses – consider a retaining strap
- 1 or 2 wool or warm toque (1 for paddling, 1 for night)
- 3-5 pair of warm socks for camp
- Underwear for 3 – 8 days
Essential Personal Items
- Water bottle (1-litre Nalgene bottle with carabiner, or something similar)
- Personal toiletries and medications (note there are no shower facilities and if you bring soap please ensure it is biodegradable)
- Hand Sanitizer is provided, but always nice to have your own
- Headlamp with spare batteries
- Sunscreen and lip balm
- Insect repellent
Optional Items
- Warm gloves for night
- Small dry bag for cameras and other items (2L- 5L)
- Long-sleeved quick drying shirt for sun protection
- Paddling gloves (We supply paddling pogies)
- Lightweight towel
- Bathing suit (for cold water swimming)
- Wet wipes
- Camera
- Book
- Journal
- Cards
- Crib board or other small, packable games
- Small frameless daypack (10-20L)
- Small inflatable camping pillow (recommend Exped blow-up pillow or something similar)
- Garbage bags for wet gear
- Wine, beers, spirits – please avoid glass bottles
